Tehran is prepared to restart nuclear talks with the United States as long as it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared solely negotiations worked, and shared recent overtures had been made by mediators to reopen negotiations with the US government. He asserted Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Path

Araghchi is treading a complex route since Iran wishes not to appear to be acting from a stance of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out more powerful defensively and mentally from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to process nuclear material on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the main reason of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Earlier Talks Abruptly Terminated

The prior phases of discussions between the United States and Iran were brought to an abrupt and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that concluded with the US president claiming the facilities had been destroyed. He continued: "We effectively endured this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to eliminate, stays intact.
